Woven wood shade operation

Choose how your
shade moves.

Try each woven wood shade below. Select “Watch it fold” to see the shade lift and gather from the bottom into stepped Roman folds, or try the motorized Raise, Stop and Lower controls. A stack of folds remains visible below the valance at the fully raised position. You can also adjust each shade with the sliders or buttons. Click a shade picture to open a larger view.

Plan your woven wood shades

Lining, mounting
& finishing details.

Choose the light, privacy and finish that suit your room. Available options vary by fabric, mechanism and shade size; confirm your selections before ordering.

Unlined

Shows the natural weave and lets light filter through its openings. Openness varies by fabric, so an unlined shade may allow views through it, especially when the room is lit at night.

Privacy lining

A backing behind the woven fabric helps limit views through the weave while allowing some light through. Ask about available lining colors and fabrics.

Room-darkening lining

A lining designed to reduce light passing through the shade. Light can still enter around the edges; the result depends on the lining and installation.

Inside or outside mount

Inside mount

Fits within the window opening and keeps the trim visible. Confirm that the opening has enough depth for your selected mechanism.

Outside mount

Mounts above or outside the opening and can extend beyond it. Plan the coverage and allow space for the folded shade when raised.

Mounting diagrams are schematic. Follow the supplier’s measuring instructions before ordering.

Valance

A fabric valance finishes the top of the shade and conceals the operating hardware. Confirm the available style, size and whether the valance is lined.

Edge banding

A decorative fabric border can frame the woven material. Ask about available colors, widths and compatibility with your fabric.

Mechanism & size

Confirm that your selected operation is available for the fabric, lining and finished dimensions. Folded stack height varies with the shade’s length and construction.
